The Dublin Historical Society, located in Dublin, New Hampshire, serves as a vital resource for the preservation and promotion of local history. Through its various collections, gallery, and archives, the Society offers opportunities for research and engagement with the community's rich historical narrative.

The Dublin Historical Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1920 and revived in 1986.  Our mission is to foster an awareness and appreciation of the Town’s history through collecting and preserving historical documents and artifacts, including such portion of the town that were part of Dublin in 1870.

The walls and shelves of the Archives building are rich with selections from our collections. Out of sight are hundreds of archival boxes cataloged and cross-referenced containing letters, journals, newspaper clippings, and history of the people of Dublin. If you are having a good “clear-out” and don’t know what to do with that box of letters or documents relating to Dublin, give us a call before you throw them away.

Each year, from July to September, the 1841 Schoolhouse Museum on Main Street is the site of our annual summer exhibition. In recent years we have featured the paintings of Dublin artists, signs and histories of Dublin businesses through the years, and Dublin as a resort destination with a collection of souvenir china.

Our work is maintained primarily by your membership and ongoing contributions. Thank you for your continued donations to DHS.
